Firefox has great add-ons which make the job of SEO professionals and web developers much easier. There are couple dozens of seo dedicated add-ons, but add-ons listed below are some of my favorites and obviously most useful ones. Here goes the list:
1. Search Status

search status firefoxTiny, yet useful and handy add-on. Search status add-on displays PageRank, Alexa and Compete ranks in status bar. Quick glance at Search Status report allows you to briefly determine site’s importance and traffic volume. It also has most important seo tools like: show indexed pages, backward links etc. What’s making it so great? Beauty of simplicity.
Install Search Status

2. Customize Google

There are literally dozens of options but some of them can be really useful for ale seo oriented web developers. You can tweak almost all Google products, but you should definately take a look at search engine tweaks.

5. Kgen
KGen (Keyword Generator) is an extension that allows you to see what keywords are strong on visited web page. Then, you can retrieve them for social sharing (tag filling) or webmastering/SEO. It can be a real “lethal” weapon for every search engine optimizer. Use Kgen to analyze competitor websites. You can also use KGen learn what onsite SEO element makes them successful (for example: long tail seo).

You already know that HTML is what bots are interested in. And they like it correct! The Total Validator is probably the best validation tool provided for Mozila Firefox. It not only checks HTML and website’s compliance with the W3C standards, but it also includes a spell check and a section 508 accessibility validation.
